17-year-old Isabella Swan, or Bella, moves from Phoenix, Arizona to Forks, Washington, to live with her father, Charlie. She misses Phoenix terribly, but quickly becomes intrigued with the Cullens, especially the exquisite Edward Cullen. At first, it would seem that Edward hates her, but eventually, Bella deduces that Edward does not hate her, but instead stays away from her to save her own life because he is a vampire. The two fall in love with each other, but because of issues with their races, they are not able to fully express themselves. Throughout Twilight, several life-threatening situations occur, but none are as climactic as when vampires who do not fit in with the Cullens diet of animals come to Forks. Instead, they feed on humans.
Bella Swan celebrates her 18th birthday with her vampire boyfriend, Edward Cullen, but an accident abruptly ends the occasion. Soon after, Edward, the light of her life, tells her that their relationship must end and that he is leaving. Bella slips into a depression, but is rescued by an old friend, Jacob Black. She tries moving on with her life, but she soon finds that it might not be so easy to forget Edward Cullen and her vampire friends.
Seattle has been hit by numerous killings and there is a vengeful vampire on the loose and she is looking for Bella. Yet again, Bella Swan find herself surrounded by danger, but she now has a new predicament on top of that - she is stuck between her love for Edward Cullen and her friendship with Jacob Black. The two are opposing forces and Bella cannot seem to find which side pulls her more. For both everything is on the line, for which ever side wins this battle will finally end the war.
It seemed so blissful - Bella and Edward are getting married - finally. A romantic honeymoon, a supportive group of family and friends, who would want anything more? How could anything go wrong? But of course, one of the most unexpected things happens and Bella and Edward are caught between the life they already had planned to a tee, or if they are willing to forgo it all to take the untried path and let fate lead them. And of course, who could forget about the Volturi who are never too far away - always willing to throw a major thorn into the side of the Cullens and everything they stand for.
there you have it. the summary of the Twilight series. if you're looking for some "kilig" factor, you can find it on the first book. the second and third book has some boring parts but it was in these books that secrets has been answered. well, the last installment got me tongue-tied and a little bit emotional. Bella did not give me a headache this time with her relationship with Edward and Jacob.
i can't get over with these books. i'll read them again! ciao!
